Zoom Integration Privacy Policy

This policy applies to tutors who connect their Zoom accounts to AlmaTutors. It describes how we access, use, and protect your Zoom data.

1. Data We Access

When you connect your Zoom account to AlmaTutors, we access the following data through Zoom's API:

  • Authorization tokens to act on behalf of your Zoom account
  • Ability to create scheduled Zoom meetings for tutoring sessions
  • Meeting URLs (join link and host link) for created meetings

We do not access meeting recordings, participant lists, chat logs, meeting transcripts, or any other Zoom data beyond what is necessary to generate meeting links for your tutoring sessions.

2. How We Use Your Zoom Data

We use your Zoom data solely for the following purposes:

  • Creating Zoom meetings automatically when you schedule tutoring sessions
  • Providing meeting links to you and your students so they can join scheduled sessions
  • Maintaining your Zoom connection so meetings can be created on your behalf

We do not use your Zoom data for advertising, marketing, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to providing our tutoring platform services.

3. Data Storage and Retention

Zoom authorization tokens are stored securely in our database using industry-standard encryption practices. We retain your Zoom credentials only while your account is active on AlmaTutors and your Zoom integration remains connected.

Zoom meeting IDs associated with your sessions are stored as part of your session records for as long as those sessions exist on the platform.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your Zoom data with any third parties. Your Zoom credentials and meeting information are only used within AlmaTutors to provide the integration functionality.

Meeting links are shared only with students who are enrolled in or invited to your tutoring sessions.

5. Your Rights and Choices

You have full control over your Zoom integration:

  • Disconnect: You can disconnect your Zoom account at any time from your account settings. This will immediately delete all stored Zoom credentials from our system.
  • Revoke Access: You can also revoke AlmaTutors' access directly from your Zoom account settings at marketplace.zoom.us.
  • Data Deletion: You can request deletion of all your data, including Zoom-related data, by contacting us.

6. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your Zoom data, including secure token storage, encrypted data transmission, and access controls limiting who can access your credentials.
