  1. Sign in to AlmaTutors — Log in to your tutor account at www.almatutors.com.
  2. Go to Account Settings — Click on your profile icon and navigate to your account settings page.
  3. Find Integrations — Look for the "Integrations" tab in your account settings.
  4. Click Connect Zoom — Click the "Connect Zoom" button to begin the authorization process.
  5. Authorize AlmaTutors — You will be redirected to Zoom's authorization page. Sign in to your Zoom account if prompted, then click "Allow" to grant AlmaTutors permission to create meetings on your behalf.
  6. Confirmation — Once authorized, you will be redirected back to AlmaTutors. Your Zoom account is now connected and ready to use.

2. Using the Zoom Integration

Once your Zoom account is connected, AlmaTutors will automatically handle meeting creation for your tutoring sessions.

Automatic Meeting Creation

When you schedule a tutoring session or publish a group program, AlmaTutors automatically creates a Zoom meeting for each session. You do not need to manually create meetings or copy-paste links.

Joining Sessions

  • As a tutor: Open the session details in AlmaTutors and click the "Start Meeting" button to join as the host.
  • As a student: Open the session details and click the "Join Meeting" button to join the Zoom call.

Meeting Settings

Meetings created by AlmaTutors include the following default settings:

  • Waiting room enabled — You control when participants can join
  • Host and participant video enabled by default
  • Participants muted upon entry
  • No registration required for participants

3. Disconnecting Your Zoom Account

You can disconnect your Zoom account from AlmaTutors at any time using either of these methods:

Option A: From AlmaTutors

  1. Sign in to your AlmaTutors account
  2. Go to Account Settings → Integrations
  3. Click "Disconnect" next to your Zoom connection
  4. Confirm the disconnection

This will immediately remove your Zoom credentials from AlmaTutors. New sessions will no longer have Zoom meetings automatically created.

Option B: From Zoom

  1. Go to the Zoom App Marketplace — Installed Apps
  2. Find "AlmaTutors" in your list of installed apps
  3. Click "Uninstall"
  4. Confirm the removal

This revokes AlmaTutors' access to your Zoom account directly from Zoom.

4. Troubleshooting

Zoom connection expired

If you see a message that your Zoom connection has expired, go to Account Settings → Integrations and click "Reconnect Zoom" to re-authorize the connection.

Meeting link not appearing

Ensure your Zoom account is connected in Account Settings. If already connected, try disconnecting and reconnecting your Zoom account.
